Nepal Red Cross Society Blood Collection Centre Ramghat Pokhara has collected a total of 35,150 unit blood by the end of Baisakh since its establishment. During the period, the centre has provided the blood to the required people.
At the centre established in 2035 BS, 581 organisations have organised blood donation programmes. Ichchha Man Singh Bajracharya and late Laxman Tiwari have donated their blood 42 and 36 times respectively.
Likewise ANNFSU (29 times), youth Buddhist Association (21 times) and Democratic National Youth Association (16 times) have organised blood donation programmes.
Meanwhile, at the silver jubilee ceremony of the establishment of the centre Dr Kumar Shamser Rana and Tanka Man Napit who were honoured for their contribution for the establishment by CDO Narayan Gopal Malego.
On the occasion, CDO Malego gave away gifts and letters of appreciation to the people and organisations who have donated their blood maximum times and the employees of the centre who have served for a long time.
